"If I have any beliefs about immortality, it is that certain dogs I have known will go to heaven, and very, very few persons."
James Thurber - American writer and humorist, whose dog cartoons enlivened the pages of the New Yorker.
And keeping up the tradition of dog cartoons, this week's New Yorker has a great one. Just click here to see what I'm sure is every male dog's dream - Reesie was all in favour of this one.

oh poor puppies!!!! i had such a struggle when it was time for billy to have his removed. he was such a proud little boy and as his little lumps grew, it seemed he walked a little taller, with more of a strut. i considered asking the vet whether we could have implants, but everyone laughed at me. come to find out, implants are a possibility.
my little boy recovered and is still the proud butch little dog he was. it was just so hard to do that, though i know it's necessary.
love. these. dogs. love them. thanks for making me smile.
