C. G. P. Grey has explained so much since that first ground breaking video in January 2011 when he explained the Difference between the United Kingdom, Great Britain and England. He has since gone on to produced 29 other explanations of things as diverse as the True Cost of the British Royal Family and the Myth of Santa - or was that the True Cost of Santa and the Myth of the British Royal Family??? Whatever!
This evening as we in North America set our clocks ahead an hour - very early this year but since our neighbour to the South has decreed it even shall we follow - I thought I'd let him recap the complexities of our annual "spring forward".
And for those of my friends interested in the activities at the Holy See - no! no! not those activities, I mean the upcoming election of a new head of the Vatican State - Grey has a quick refresher on what it takes to become Pope.

Fascinating! But hey, I always thought it was the Canadian Sir Sanford Fleming who invented DST? I'm sure that's what we were taught in school. Who's this bloody New Zealand usurper?

I think Sir Sanford Fleming was the genius behind time zones... or rather universal time. It was a Kiwi who forced this Daylight Saving thing on us.....
