Mercoledi Musicale

My friend Michael in Washington D. C. put me on to the Wikipedia listing of all the number one songs on the hit parade in the U. S. from 1940 onward. The day I was born this little number had been Number 1 on the Billboard charts for eight weeks.

I must admit I had never heard of Frankie Carle though I do like the way he tinkles the old ivories. The vocalist was his daughter Marjorie Hughes and I think she has a great period style.

Will, what's your opinion about Carla Fracci? Her contract has not been renewed. Was she a lazy dance director who offered too little and was paid too many euros? Is this the reason for being fired?
