Sure it plays to stereotype but its still one of the funniest pieces of television around. And lets admit it for Italian content the routine is as old as Plautus.



The woman matching feet with Lucy was Theresa Tirelli (D'Amico) who was actually born in what is now known as Croatia. She was an opera singer, actress and hosted her own radio show in Los Angeles. She died in 1989 at the age of 81.
